The agreement

Everyone

These terms are the agreement between you and Manuela P. Mulondo, of Kampala, Uganda, whenever you use this site or buy something on it.

By creating an account, completing a purchase or booking a ticket, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not buy.

How we handle your personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

TC-02

Your account

Account

An account belongs to one person. Give accurate details when you sign up, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at once if you think somebody else has your login.

Everything bought under your account is treated as bought by you. If we find an account is being shared in order to spread paid material, we may suspend it and withdraw access to the items concerned without a refund. We may also close an account used to abuse the site or the people on it.

TC-03

What we sell

Books Courses Products Tickets

Through The Academy and the shop:

  • Books, as a soft copy you download or a hard copy in print.
  • Courses, delivered online through your account.
  • Products, physical items delivered or collected.
  • Resources, the workbooks, toolkits and files you download.

Through The Gatherings, including the Annual Personal Planning Getaway (APPG): tickets to attend an event, onsite or online.

Through Work with Me: speaking, endorsement, collaboration and partnership. These are arranged individually under a separate written agreement rather than bought at a checkout. See TC-13.

Descriptions, images and session outlines are given in good faith. A small difference between a photograph and the item you receive is not a defect.

TC-04

Prices and payment

Payments Orders

Prices are shown in Uganda Shillings unless a page says otherwise, and they include any tax we are required to charge. We may change a price at any time, but never for an order you have already paid.

Payment is taken through Pesapal, by card or mobile money. Your bank or mobile money provider may add a charge of its own, which is not ours and which we cannot refund.

An order is complete only when the gateway confirms the payment. Until then it sits as pending, and pending is not proof of purchase. If a payment fails or is reversed, any access or ticket issued against it is withdrawn.

Keep your merchant reference. It is the fastest way for us to find your order.

TC-05

Paying in installments

Payments Tickets

On some orders the total can be settled in a set number of installments. Where that is offered:

  • The plan, the number of installments and the final date are shown before you commit.
  • Each installment is paid through the same checkout and recorded against the same order.
  • The balance must be cleared in full by the stated date, and for an event, before the event begins.
  • Access and tickets are released as the plan sets out. Where the plan says nothing, they are released when the balance reaches zero.
  • If a plan is not completed by its final date we may cancel the order. What you have already paid may be held as credit toward a future purchase rather than refunded.
TC-06

Digital items and your licence

Books Courses Downloads

When you buy a course, an e-book or a download you are not buying the content itself. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own growth, for as long as your entitlement is active.

You may read it, print a copy for yourself, and work through it as often as you like.

You may not resell it, share your login, forward the file, upload it to a file sharing service or a messaging group, teach from it commercially, or reproduce it in any form without written permission.

Downloads carry an allowance, five per purchase unless a page says otherwise, so that a link cannot be passed around indefinitely. If you have genuinely run out because of a lost device or a failed download, write to us with your order reference and we will reset it.

Where a course is hosted on a third party platform, that platform's own rules apply alongside these terms.

TC-07

Physical items

Books Products

Hard copy books and physical products are delivered within Uganda by arrangement, or collected at an agreed point. We confirm the arrangement and the timeline with you by email once your order is paid.

Check your parcel when it reaches you. If an item is damaged or is not what you ordered, tell us within seven days of receiving it and send a photograph, and we will replace it or refund it.

TC-08

Event tickets

Tickets Events APPG

A ticket is permission for one person to attend one event, in the mode you booked, onsite or online.

  • Every ticket carries its own code and verification token, and is emailed to you once payment is confirmed.
  • Present your ticket at entry. The first valid check admits, so treat a ticket like cash and do not post it publicly. We cannot admit a second person on a ticket that has already been used.
  • Booking several seats, you may take a single ticket covering the group or separate tickets, one for each person. Choose at checkout.
  • A single ticket covering several seats admits that number of people arriving together.
  • Lost your ticket? We can send it again to the email address on the order, or you can find it yourself under Search for my ticket.
  • Online attendance links are personal and are for one device. Streaming or re-broadcasting a session to others breaches these terms and TC-12.
  • Entry may be refused, without refund, to anyone who cannot produce a valid ticket or who is asked to leave under TC-11.
TC-09

Changes to an event

Tickets Events

Events are live and occasionally things move. If we change the date, the venue or the format of an event you hold a ticket for, we tell you as early as we can and your ticket carries over to the new arrangement.

Programmes and facilitators are indicative. We may substitute a facilitator or adjust a session without notice, provided the substance of the event is preserved.

If an event cannot go ahead for reasons beyond our control, including illness, bereavement, a venue failure, a public health restriction or an act of government, we move it to a new date and carry your ticket over. Where that is not possible, TC-10 applies.

TC-10

Refunds, transfers and cancellations

Orders Tickets Downloads

Digital items A download or a course opens the moment your payment clears, so these are not refundable once accessed. If a file is faulty or will not open, tell us and we will fix it or refund it.

Tickets Tickets are not refundable, but they are transferable. Ask us to change the name on a ticket at least seven days before the event and we will do it at no charge. You may also carry the value to another gathering within twelve months.

If we cancel Where we cancel an event outright and cannot offer a new date, you may take a full refund or a credit toward a future event, whichever you prefer.

Payment errors If you were charged twice, or charged for an order that never completed, tell us within fourteen days. Confirmed errors are refunded to the account the payment came from, and providers usually take seven to fourteen working days to show it.

To raise any of these, write to info@manuelapmulondo.com with your merchant reference and what happened. We acknowledge within two working days.

TC-11

Conduct at events and online

Events

Our gatherings are safe spaces and we keep them that way. We ask everyone to be courteous, to hold in confidence what others share in the room, and to follow the stewards on the day.

We may ask anyone to leave, without a refund, for behaviour that threatens, harasses or endangers another person, for being under the influence in a way that disrupts the event, or for recording sessions without permission.

TC-12

Intellectual property

Site Books Courses Events

Everything on this site and in our materials, the teaching, the writing, the workbooks, the recordings, the photographs, the frameworks and the designs, belongs to Manuela P. Mulondo or to those who licensed it to us.

The name Manuela P. Mulondo, together with APPG, the Annual Personal Planning Getaway, The Academy, The Tribe, The Gatherings and our logos, are our marks.

You may quote us briefly with credit and a link. You may not record, film or livestream a session, reproduce our material inside a programme of your own, or use our name or marks to suggest an endorsement we have not given.

TC-13

Bookings, speaking and partnerships

Bookings

An enquiry through the Work with Me pages is a request, not a confirmed booking. A date is only held once the scope is agreed in writing and, where one applies, the deposit is received.

Fees, travel, cancellation terms and deliverables are set out in that agreement. Where it differs from these terms, that agreement governs.

TC-14

Acceptable use of the site

Site

Use the site lawfully and leave it working for everyone else. Do not attempt to break into any part of it, probe it for weaknesses, scrape it at volume, upload anything harmful, impersonate another person, or use it to send unsolicited messages.

Anything you submit, a survey answer, a testimonial or a comment, must be yours to give and must not be unlawful or abusive. By submitting it you allow us to use it in connection with our work, including anonymously and in aggregate. Tell us if you would rather we did not, and we will take it down.

TC-15

What this site is and is not

Everyone

Manuela teaches from faith and from lived experience, as a leader, an entrepreneur and a homemaker. The books, courses and gatherings exist for personal, spiritual and professional growth.

They are not financial, legal, medical or psychological advice, and they are not a substitute for a qualified professional or for treatment. Decisions you make after reading, listening or attending remain yours. If you are in crisis, please speak to a doctor, a counsellor or your pastor.

We share outcomes that others have had. We do not promise that you will have the same.

TC-16

Limits on our liability

Everyone

We provide the site and our materials with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise that the site will always be available or entirely free of errors.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under Ugandan law.

Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, or for travel and accommodation you arrange around an event, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the item the claim concerns.

TC-17

Changes to these terms

Everyone

We update these terms from time to time. The version and effective date in the record at the top of this page always tell you which version is current.

An order is governed by the version in force when you placed it. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the version then in force.

TC-18

Governing law and how to reach us

Everyone

These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Before that, please write to us. Almost everything is resolved quickly by email.

Manuela P. Mulondo, Kampala, Uganda.

A note on this

Terms exist so that both sides know where they stand before anything goes wrong. If a clause here reads as unfair once you are in a real situation, say so. We would rather hear it from you and fix it than have you carry it quietly.
